OCD Support Groups

If you have OCD and would like to overcome your symptoms with the help of others like you, then consider joining a support group. OCDChicago and the Anxiety & Agoraphobia Treatment Center have support groups that are led by the staff of the Anxiety & Agoraphobia Treatment Center. These groups, one in Chicago, and one in Northbrook,IL, meet twice monthly and will help you learn to decrease your compulsions and avoidance and how to face all the situations that your OCD makes difficult. Contact OCDChicago.org or klcassiday@wi.rr.com for more information.

Hi Anne, Which disorder(s) does your son have and how old is he? We have some parents who attend our support groups and we have a wait list for a group for parents of “complicated kids” Thanks, Dr. Karen Cassiday

There are several great options for your daughter. OCDChicago has a downtown support group that one of our staff leads, we have an OCD support group in Northbrook and an OCD therapy group that meets in the West Loop. You can contact the leader of the two Chicago groups, Dr. Debra Kissen at 847-559-0001, ext. 1818. Thanks, Dr. Karen Cassiday
